Trump Makes Unbelievable Decision Following Assassination Attempt
Former President Donald Trump shocked the nation on Sunday when he made an unbelievable decision.
Fresh off an assassination attempt on his life, the former president took to his Truth Social account to update his supporters on his next move.
The former president revealed that he initially planned to delay his trip to Wisconsin for the Republican National Convention by two days. In a defiant move, Trump decided against those moves, announcing that he would go with his earlier plans. The presumptive GOP nominee insisted that he can’t allow a “shooter or potential assassin” to change his plans.
“Based on yesterday’s terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a ‘shooter,’ or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else. Therefore, I will be leaving for Milwaukee, as scheduled,” Trump wrote.
Trump is expected to be officially named the GOP 2024 nominee at the convention, which begins on Monday. The former president is also expected to name his running mate at the convention.
Trump has kept the issue of his running mate a closely guarded secret, with the former president teasing several high-profiled Republicans as his potential vice president. Reports are, however, circulating that Trump may name freshman Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his running mate.
One of Trump’s loyal supporters told Breitbart News that Vance’ selection would be “historic” if the former president decides to go with him.
“He would be both the first U.S. Marine and the first millennial on a presidential ticket in American history,” a Trump loyalist told Breitbart News on Friday. “His selection would truly be historic.”
The loyalist insisted that Vance, 39, is “by far” the best person to carry Trump’s message to the blue-collar voters.
“His unique and heroic life story of coming from poverty and a broken home, with a mother who struggled with drug addiction to becoming a Marine, a Yale Law graduate, a best-selling author, successful businessman, and a U.S. Senator makes him the biggest threat to Democrats electorally of any of the VP contenders,” the loyalist added.
