MSNBC Analyst’s Disgusting Suggestion To Trump Following Assassination Attempt
An MSNBC analyst showed his lack of empathy for Former President Donald Trump following another assassination attempt on the former president.
Trump cheated death for the second time on Sunday after a suspect had gotten so close to fatally shooting him. The Republican presidential nominee was playing golf on his Florida golf course when Secret Service agents spotted his rifle sticking out of the bushes just 300 yards from Trump.
The agents quickly fired at the would-be assassin, forcing him to flee the scene. The alleged shooter has been identified by authorities as Ryan Wesley Routh, a registered Democrat of Hawaii who is now in the custody of law enforcement in Florida.
Following the shocking incident, MSNBC national security contributor Frank Figliuzzi suggested that the former president should stop golfing.
“Will Donald Trump, if encouraged by the Secret Service to stop golfing or to change golf courses or something that is far more protected, will he abide by that? I think in these remaining weeks, I would take the advice of security professionals, whatever they say,” Figliuzzi said. “There is an inevitable sit down with protectees across the secret service spectrum about open air events. This is going to happen, I guarantee you. The question I can’t answer right now is whether each protectee is going to go with the program.”
Figliuzzi predicted that the Secret Service may ask Trump to stop golfing because the agency can not afford to increase security around the former president.
“How far can we fund, if at all, the Secret Service to put numerous drones up to see an aerial shot of golf courses, concerts, rallies, is this going to become the norm,’ Figliuzzi said. “Where do you put your perimeter? How many agents and how many police officers will you need? Do you need an entire square acre, do you need miles of perimeter? These are questions that almost can’t be answered because they are cost prohibitive and resource prohibitive.”
According to reports in The Red Archives, Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw told reporters that Routh was able to get close to Trump because the Secret Service had limited ability to protect him because he was no longer a sitting president.
