FBI Agents Left Red Faced During Home Visit
The FBI was left with a red face after their agents were embarrassed and intimidated by a bold libertarian.
The agency has found itself in the midst of a censorship saga in recent years, with many reports suggesting the agency has slapped the Domestic terrorist label on several conservatives and libertarians.
The agency, however, met its match on Monday after it sent two of its agents to the home of political activist Jeremy Kauffman, 40.
Following a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life, Kauffman posted to the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire’s (LPNH) X account that “Anyone who murders Kamala Harris would be an American hero.”
He subsequently deleted the post but followed with another one where he explained that “the point of the second amendment is to shoot and kill tyrannous politicians.” Kauffman also deleted the second post.
A few hours after making the posts, two FBI agents showed up at his doorstep to speak to him about the posts.
The FBI visited my house today for free speech acts they knew were not crimes. You can see the shame on their faces. This is the Democratic regime manifest,” Kauffman wrote in a post on X accompanied by a video of the encounter.
The video started with Kauffman calling out to both agents as they left his neighbor’s house.
“Can you give your full name please?” Kauffman asked the agents as they approached his front door.
“I’m Agent O’Donnell with the FBI,” one of the plain-clothes agents is heard saying after being asked to identify himself.
“Is that sufficient identification? Is there only one Agent O’Donnell in the FBI?” Kauffman pressed on.
“In New Hampshire, yes,” the agent responds squeamishly.
“Your full name, sir?” Kauffman shot back
“Can you please stop recording?” the agent asks Kauffman, looking very uncomfortable.
“No,” Kauffman shot back before reminding the agents of his First Amendment right.
“What’s your name, sir?” Kauffman goes on to ask the other agent.
“Can you stop recording?” the second agent shot back but did not respond to Kauffman’s request.
“Absolutely not,” the activist shoots back. “I’m going to go back inside my house.”
The agent who gave his name as O’Donnell told Kauffman that they were only there to talk to him.
“All I want to do is talk to you about a post that was made, and if you happened to be the one who made it,” O’Donnell said.
Kaufman responded to the agent, letting them know they wasted hundreds of dollars in taxpayer money just to come and talk to him over his X post, which is protected by law.
The agent finally admitted defeat, got into their car and drove off. Kaufman stood behind their vehicle as they drove off and gave them a giant middle finger.
