Former President Donald Trump was shot on Saturday evening during a rally, with footage showing the former president collapsing on the stage. 

According to The Daily Mail, the former president was shot in the ear in what many are describing as an assassination attempt on the former president. 

Trump was attending a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday when shots rang out. Footage from the event showed the former president holding the side of his face with blood splattered across his cheeks. 

President Trump, however, did not suffer any serious injury as footage taken moments later showed him being escorted out of the event. the former, who had a bloody face, raised his fist to supporters, saying “fight! fight! fight!”.

According to Fox News, as many as five shots were heard before the former president went down. The Republican presumptive nominee may have lost one of his shoes during the chaos as footage from the incident showed him telling his security team, “Let me get my shoes,” as he was being taken off stage.  

It’s not clear who the shooter is and what their intentions are.
