Content Of Nun’s Suitcase Leaves Authorities Shocked

Disturbing footage shows a nun moving the dead body of a fellow nun into a suitcase. Footage shows the nun, 80, walking along the streets of the Chilean capital of Santiago as she struggles to pull the huge suitcase behind her.

A horrified passenger found the body of the deceased dumped in a street in a wealthy part of town on Monday.

Reports claim that the CCTV video emerged after police began a full-scale murder hunt over what they first believed was a drug cartel killing in Santiago.

At first, Investigators believed a gang had dumped the body, only for authorities to look at CCTV in the area to discover that a nun had abandoned it.

However, the woman in the suitcase was later identified as Erica Fernandez, who had died of natural causes following an illness about a year ago.

The nun seen in the footage, identified as Lorenza Ramirez, reportedly told the cops that she and the deceased had made a pact to take care of one another even after death.

Police Subprefect Juan Fonseca said the deceased had been kept in a case as an act of affection and loyalty. Her remains had been stored inside the luggage from the time of her death in April 2023.

Speaking on why Ramirez decided to dump the body on the street, officials say they believed she was afraid that her daughter, who had arrived from Italy to care for her, would have stumbled upon the body at her home.

Fonseca also added that the two nuns had agreed that neither of them would report the other’s death to the authorities.

According to Prosecutor Francisco Lanas, an autopsy performed on Fernandez found no obvious signs of foul play.

“There are no signs of violence or fracture on the body,” Lanas said. “She was not quartered or dismembered. There is no third-party involvement. It would preliminarily be a natural death.”

A Local news outlet reports that Ramirez was not arrested but could be charged with health code violations.
