The Miracle Move That Saved Trump
The assassination attempt on Former President Donald Trump failed due to one crucial move he made moments before shots rang out.
As reported by The Red Archives, the former president survived an assassination attempt on Saturday after a lone gunman fired several shots at him at his Pennsylvania rally. Trump escaped the incident with minor injury after one bullet struck his right ear.
However, the bullet that struck Trump’s ear could very well have pierced his skull if he had not turned away from the crowd moments before the shooter fired.
“I rarely look away from the crowd. Had I not done that in that moment, well, we would not be talking today, would we?” Trump said on Sunday. “The most incredible thing was that I happened to not only turn but to turn at the exact right time and in just the right amount.
Trump added that if he had not turned fully to the right, the bullet would have hit the back of his brain. The former president also noted that if he had turned his face the other way, the bullet would have gone right through his skull.
“The chances of my making a perfect turn are probably one tenth of one percent, so I’m not supposed to be here,” Trump said. “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead. I’m supposed to be dead.”
Trump, who was speaking to the New York Post in an interview, said he turned his head because he wanted to read a chart on illegal immigrants.
According to The Post, Trump had a loose, large white bandage that covered his ears. The outlet revealed that the former president’s staff did not permit photos of the president to be taken.
Trump, who is expected to be the Republican nominee, revealed that the doctor who attended to his injury marveled at his miraculous escape.
“The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this. He called it a miracle,” Trump said.
