The Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, 93, made a rare public appearance to support friend Jane Goodall, a renowned conservationist, last month.

Eastwood, who attended the event with an assistant, was photographed sitting alongside Goodall at one of her speaking engagements, “Reasons for Hope.”

The Wildlife Conservation Network presented the event at the Sunset Cultural Center and was part of Goodall’s 90th birthday tour. The famed conservationist turned 90 on April 3.

According to a reputable source, Goodall founded the “Jane Goodall Institute.” She rose to fame in the ’60s with her pioneering research on wild chimpanzees in Tanzania, which helped shed light on primates’ behavior and relationships.

Although Eastwood hasn’t worked with Goodall on a film, he does have experience working with primates. The four-time Oscar winner starred with an orangutan in the 1978 comedy film “Every Which Way but Loose.” 

These days, he is rarely photographed in public but has continued his movie career. He was last photographed on the set of his film “Juror No. 2” in Savannah, Ga.

The film, which stars Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette, began shooting in June 2023. 

According to reports, the film focuses on main lead juror Justin Kemp during a murder trial, when he realizes that his reckless driving is actually to blame for the victim losing their life. 

A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Eastwood, who turns 94 next month, has seen a successful film career. Despite serving two years as the mayor of Carmel-by-the-sea, California, in the mid-1980s, Eastwood is still active in the movie industry.

According to reports, Eastwood made his directorial debut in 1971 with Play “Misty For Me” before establishing himself as one of Hollywood’s most seasoned filmmakers. 

He has directed movies including “Unforgiven,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Changeling” and “The Bridges of Madison County.”

Other popular Eastwood films include the “Westerns Hang ‘Em High,” “The Outlaw Josey Wales,” “Pale Rider” and the action-war film “Where Eagles Dar.”
