One of former President Donald Trump’s fiercest critics was forced to backtrack and apologize after he made disturbing remarks about the women in the former president’s circle. 

With the 2024 election less than four days away, the race has become heated, and tempers are flaring. Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, one of Vice President Kamala Harris’ huge backers, made a shocking remark during an appearance on “The View.” 

While speaking on the show, Cuban suggested that the women around the former president are weak and unintelligent. The billionaire also suggested that Trump kicked Former South Carolina GOP Gov. Nikki Haley out of his circle because he does not want strong women around him. 

“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women ever,” Cuban told The View co-host. “It’s just that simple, they’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them. And you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around, it wouldn’t work.”

Cuban immediately faced fierce backlash on social media and from Trump, who called him a “dumb guy.”

The backlash he faced has now forced him to apologize and take back his words. Cuban apologized for his shocking comments in an X post, claiming the words did not come out as planned.

“When I said this during the interview, I didn’t get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn’t about trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former,” Cuban wrote on X. “And, I set myself up for the 6 sec soundbite. No excuses. Can’t nail every interview. My skin is thick enough.”

Cuban’s apology did not spare him from further criticism as X users continued to pile him. One user insisted that contrary to his apology, Cuban knew exactly what he was doing. 

“Sorry a little too late Mark,” the user wrote. “You knew exactly what you were saying in that moment. Just like Biden calling us Trump supporters garbage. You both trying to walk back those comments now that you’re facing backlash. It just isn’t going to work, we’re sick and tired of being insulted by you lefties.”

Another X user, who called the billionaire “pathetic,” maintained that Cuban’s apology was not a proper one as he was only sorry because of how people reacted and not what he said.

What should be a sincere apology to women…..you’ve made it all about you. Glad you and the Democrat Party are all on the same page you self-centered little p***k.
