Trump Assassination: AOC Wars with Senior House Democrats

The Assassination Attempt on former President Donald Trump is causing a major division within House Democrats.

Trump on Saturday miraculously survived an assassination attempt that saw a bullet pierce his right ear. Since the assassination attempt, the former president has seen his chances of winning the 2024 election rise significantly, with many projecting him as the hot favorite to win the election.

According to Axios, many House Democrats now believe Trump could win the election come 2024. The outlet revealed that one senior House Democrat said, “We’ve all resigned ourselves to a second Trump presidency.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) reacted furiously to the report on X account, telling the unnamed senior Democrat to retire.

“If you’re a ‘senior Democrat’ that feels this way, you should absolutely retire and make space for true leadership that refuses to resign themselves to fascism,” AOC wrote in an X post. This kind of leadership is functionally useless to the American people. Retire.”

Despite AOC’s angry outburst, there appear to be signs that the former president will return to the White House next January.

President Biden’s disastrous debate performance has caused him to fall out of favor with several of his high-profile supporters. As reported by The Red Archives, Biden’s campaign also believes that former President Barack Obama —Biden’s former boss at the White House— is secretly working to end the president’s campaign.

Since the Debate, Biden has made several failed efforts to rescue his campaign. Instead, the efforts have led to many House Democrats calling on the president to drop out of the race.

Despite calls for Biden to drop out, AOC is more determined to back the presumptive Democrat nominee.

Trump, on the other hand, has seen his stock rise among voters and huge donors alike. Before Saturday’s assassination attempt on the former president, Tesla owner Elon Musk donated to a super PAC backing the former president’s campaign.

Following the assassination attempt, Musk came out with a full endorsement of Trump.

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has also endorsed the president following the assassination attempt.

‘I am going to formally endorse @realDonaldTrump. I came to this decision some time ago as many @X followers have already understood from my supportive posts of Trump and my criticisms of @POTUS Biden,” Ackman wrote on X.

Trump is expected to speak at the Republican National Convention, where reports suggest that he will announce his running mate.
