Secret Service Agents Prevent Another White House Tragedy

Shocking news coming out of the White House reveals that the Secret Service may have prevented another tragic incident from hitting the nation.

A gunman was shot by Secret Service agents after being spotted with a firearm just outside the White House around midnight on Saturday.

According to The Daily Mail, the armed man, a resident of Indiana, had parked his vehicle near 17th and G Streets—just blocks from the White House—and was seen walking the streets with a gun.

According to the Secret Service, the man had been suicidal before traveling from his home state to Washington, D.C. When confronted by agents, he brandished his firearm, prompting an armed confrontation near the White House.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.

“The incident is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department Internal Affairs Division’s Force Investigations Team, which investigates all law enforcement officer-involved shootings in the District of Columbia,” Anthony Guglielmi, Chief of Communications for the US Secret Service, said in a statement.

At the time of the incident, President Donald Trump was at Mar-a-Lago for the weekend. He is expected to return to the White House at 5 p.m. ET.

The news comes after pro-Ukrainian protesters targeted Vice President J.D. Vance and his 3-year-old daughter.

“Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of ‘Slava Ukraini’ protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared,” Vance wrote on X post. “I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my toddler alone,” he continued. “Nearly all of them agreed.”

Vance, who took offense at the protesters targeting his daughter, revealed that the confrontation was mostly respectful. President Trump, on the other hand, did not have such luck with protesters.

According to AP reports, pro-Palestinian activists targeted Trump’s Turnberry golf course and hotel in southwest Scotland overnight. The activists, to a group called Palestine Action, said they reject President Trump’s treatment of Gaza. Reports showed that the group vandalized Trump’s property, painting “Gaza Is Not For Sale” in giant letters on the lawn and using red spray paint on the clubhouse’s exterior wall.

“To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance,” the group said in a statement.
