Kamala Harris’ Secret Meetings Revealed
Vice President Kamala Harris’ private behavior is causing concern after it emerged that her actions in public are different from her conduct in her private life.
Harris launched her presidential campaign on the promise that she would be taking on the corporate and private billionaires. The Vice president has promised that her government will fight price gouging and force the ultra to pay more taxes.
According to The Daily Mail, Harris is privately warming up to those billionaires and the ultra-rich. The Democratic party nominee has been secretly attempting to woo captains of industries by inviting them to launches and personally guided White Tours.
Reports in the Wall Street Journal show that Harris had lunch with JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon as part of efforts to foster a relationship with corporate America. Sources familiar with the meeting claimed Dimon told associates that the vice president was ‘reasonable’ and open to a dialogue. The sources also claim Harris and Dimon have kept close contacts since then.
Hours after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, Harris met with Dimon’s wife, Judy, at a dinner hosted by Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Chase Peter Scher. The dinner party took place at Sher’s Maryland home.
The vice president has also hosted executives at the Vice President’s Naval Observatory residence. Some of those present were Motorola Solutions’ Greg Brown and Visa CEO and Democrat Ryan McInerney.
Billionaire and Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban is also in constant contact with the vice president. Reports suggest Harris and Cuban have exchanged multiple calls and emails where the billionaire shared his opinion on pharmaceutical issues.
Harris’ efforts to secretly warm up to the billionaires and the ultra-rich are in sharp contrast to President Biden, who only raked in $91,000 from about 990 CEOs in the final 10 days of an ill-faith campaign. Harris, on the other hand, has raked in nearly $2 million from 5,000 CEO donors.
The vice president’s secret meetings with the corporate heads and billionaires have given them confidence that her public claims to crack hard on them will not be a problem.
