Democrat Governor Sets Law Enforcement On Elon Musk

X owner Elon Musk’s latest political move has put him in the crosshairs of Democrats, with one governor calling for his state’s attorney general to investigate the billionaire.

While speaking at a town hall meeting in Pennsylvania, Musk announced an offer of $1 million each day to a randomly selected person who signs a petition from his America PAC. The petition pledges support for the First and Second Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

Musk’s move did not sit well with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D), who is now calling for law enforcement to investigate the billionaire. In an interview with NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Shapiro, a former Pennsylvania attorney general, claimed Musk’s move raises questions.

“I think it’s something that law enforcement could take a look at. I’m not the attorney general anymore of Pennsylvania. I’m the governor, but it does raise some serious questions,” Shapiro host Kristen Welker.

The governor revealed that he is concerned about how Musk has been spending money during this year’s election cycle.

“I think there are real questions with how he is spending money in this race, how the dark money is flowing, not just into Pennsylvania, but apparently now into the pockets of Pennsylvanians. That is deeply concerning,” the governor said. “He’s made it very, very clear that he supports Donald Trump. I don’t – obviously, we have a difference of opinion. I don’t deny him that right. But when you start flowing this kind of money into politics, I think it raises serious questions that folks may want to take a look at.”

According to the America PAC website, a petition signer in Pittsburgh is set to receive $1 million on Sunday. Another recipient in Pennsylvania will be announced on Monday. The distribution of the $1 million to random winners will continue every day from Tuesday until Election Day on November 5.

The winners will be picked from key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, or North Carolina. America PAC is also offering $47 for each registered swing state voter who refers someone to sign the petition, with Pennsylvania participants eligible for $100 for signing and referring others.

Musk told attendees at the town hall meeting that he made the offer to spread the petition because the mainstream media will not report on it.
