Zelensky’s End! Mike Johnson Speaks Up

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky found himself in more trouble after House Speaker Mike Johnson waded into the White House fiasco.
As reported by The Red Archives, Zelensky ignited a heated war of words with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. The heated exchange forced Trump to cut Zelensky’s meeting short before ordering the Ukraine leader out of the White House.
As the dust settles from the infamous meeting, Zelensky has found himself in trouble with many GOP leaders.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) suggested to NBC’s Meet The Press on Sunday that Zelensky may have to resign as Ukraine’s leader.
“Something has to change,” Johnson said. “Either he needs to come to his senses and come back to the table in gratitude, or someone else needs to lead the country to do that. I mean, it’s up to the Ukrainians to figure that out, but I can tell you that we are – we are re-exerting peace through strength.”
Johnson praised Trump’s dedication to find peace, adding that the president has brought back strength to the White House.
“We knew that this moment would come. We worked hard for it to come, and now it’s here. But we need these parties to go along with this, and we need President Zelenskyy to do what is necessary,” Speaker Johnson added. “This war has dragged on far too long. He’s lost hundreds of thousands of people, including women and children. We’ve got to bring an end to it. And I think our European allies are hoping that that is the case, and we are as well.”
Johnson rejected the idea that the U.S. was realigning itself with Russia while noting that Vladimir Putin is an adversary of the United States who must be defeated. The speaker, however, insisted that it is in everybody’s interest to bring Putin into the peace discussion.
“It’s pretty absurd for anyone in the media or Democrats to somehow proclaim that President Trump, the White House, or Republicans in Congress are on Putin’s side. It’s a joke. We understand that he is a dangerous adversary and he is the one that provoked the war,” Johnson added.
The speaker made the remarks in response to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who immediately suggested Zelensky may need to resign.
Shortly after the meeting, Graham told a press conference that he was proud of President Trump and Vice President Vance for how they stood up for America. The GOP lawmaker added that while America wants to be helpful, Zelensky’s conduct during the meeting was disrespectful.
“What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful and I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelensky again,” Graham said. “He either needs to resign and send somebody over that we can do business with. Or he needs to change.
