Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez and actor Ben Affleck’s marriage is in shambles as they are at loggerheads with each other. 

Lopez and Affleck married in 2021, formally tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022 and held a significant wedding ceremony in Georgia the following month.

Two years later, news began circulating that the marriage was heading for the rock. Lopez confirmed this as she filed for a divorce in August, precisely on their wedding anniversary.

TMZ reported that earlier this summer, the couple was quietly selling the mansion they bought together after marriage in Beverly Hills. The media outlet also claims there is no prenup agreement, and the money issues between the two are yet to be settled.

Latest reports suggest Lopez has filed for a divorce herself without any legal consultation or the help of an attorney. The divorce process might take time as waves still have not been settled. Lopez stated April 26 as the day of their separation.

Lopez and Affleck met for the first time in early 2002 on the set of a crime comedy movie, “Gigli.” As of that time, Lopez was still married to her former husband, Cris Judd. In July 2002, Lopez and Affleck kissed while she was still married to Judd. Two days later, she filed for a divorce.

Later that year, Lopez got engaged to Affleck in November and set their marriage date for the following year. Everything seemed fine until the day before the wedding, slated for September 2003. The couple decided to push their wedding date, saying “excessive media attention” was the reason for doing so.

By January 2004, the couple officially called off the wedding and went their separate ways. Faced with sets of failed relationships after their breakup, the ex-lovers rekindled their love 17 years later in the year 2021.
