Vance Boelter, arrested after a June 14, rampage that killed State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband and wounded Senator John Hoffman and his wife, penned a 1.5-page letter to FBI Director Kash Patel. 

Discovered in a Buick he abandoned while fleeing, the letter alleges Governor Tim Walz instructed Boelter to kill Senator Amy Klobuchar to clear the way for Walz to claim her Senate seat.

“It is incoherent and difficult to read,” said two sources familiar with the document, noting Boelter’s claim of secret military training.

The Crimes and Conspiracies

Boelter, who impersonated a police officer during the attacks, confessed in the letter to the Hortman murders and the attempted killing of the Hoffmans. 

His hit list, found in his vehicle, included dozens of Democrats, paradoxically naming Walz among them.
